Homes are Happier with a Rescue

Our Story

Our Mission

Woods Creek Rescue exists to provide a safe and better life for animals in need, while helping them along their journey to find their furrever home. We are their voice.

Founded officially in 2015, WCR has grown from a small rescue into an agency typically housing up to 20 dogs and puppies at any one time. Run entirely by a small team of dedicated volunteers, WCR pulls dogs and puppies from all over the west coast. We are located near Silverton, Oregon

We provide transportation, care, training services, and veterinary care to all of our animals. Our dedication to finding wonderful, loving permanent homes for all dogs is what makes our hearts sing!

We are always on the lookout for folks that love dogs and welcome any time, resources or set of hands to help us care for all of the dogs!

Meet our featured dog of the week, Urban !

Meet our dog of the week, Urban!

Urban is a Border Collie Mix. She has been at the rescue since she was a puppy, is about a year and a half and is waiting for her forever home.

Urban is smart and athletic. She would do great with a family with older children or individuals that are active and can provide Urban with activities to meet her needs (running/jogging, walks, playing ball, etc.)

She is good with other dogs but does need some work on boundaries. In other words, Urban doesn't always read the signals from other dogs that she has overstepped a boundary.

Urban is crate/house trained and spayed. She is on the smaller side and is around 40 pounds.

She will make a terrific addition to the right home. If you are interested in adopting Urban, please fill out an application below.

Ensuring that each animal receives not only food, water and shelter but also the appropriate medical care, treatment and preventative care based on each dogs' age and physical state is critical to getting these dogs into their forever homes! We do all that we can to help each dog to become the best friend to you and your family! It all adds up quickly! If you are able to donate, it is tax deductible!
